Prana: Expanding the Potential of Your Spine
“The spine is the tree of life, respect it,” said Martha Graham.
Join us for a unique workshop designed to help you better understand and care for your spine. Using the innovative Vayus Flow method created by Enzo, we’ll explore the spine from a fresh perspective rooted in five key principles: Integration, Awareness, Experiential Anatomy, Multidimensional Movement, and Energetic Perception.
We’ll answer questions like: Why does the spine have its specific shape? Why do we have spinal curves? What influences spinal mobility? And how can we strengthen and protect this vital structure?
Through an exploration of the spine’s evolutionary history, its structure, and its function, you’ll gain practical insights and tools to enhance the health of your back. Using visualization techniques inspired by the Franklin Method, Enzo will guide you through exercises that strengthen the intervertebral discs, improve stability and resilience in the thoracolumbar fascia, and enhance your understanding of how the spine’s curves contribute to its overall function. You’ll also learn about the role of facet joints and how they influence mobility, as well as the muscles that support the spine’s harmonious movement.
We’ll also explore the energetic side of the spine, focusing on the flow of Pran Vayus in yoga poses, with a special emphasis on Backbends, Forward Bends, and Twists. The workshop will conclude with a dynamic Vayus Flow sequence, a graceful and fluid movement practice to help you rediscover how your spine is designed to move with freedom and ease.
What You Will Learn:
- The evolutionary history of the spine and its significance
- Why the spine has curves and how they affect mobility and stability

Udana: Connecting Shoulders, Neck, and Arms
Supporting your weight on your arms can be challenging, especially if the connection between the upper spine and your hands is weak. This workshop is designed to help you strengthen and refine this connection. You’ll learn how to improve the relationship between your hands on the ground, the alignment of your shoulder girdle, and core activation.
Led by Enzo Ventimiglia, you’ll discover effective techniques for aligning your upper limbs efficiently and building strength without creating unnecessary tension. Drawing on his extensive experience with the Franklin Method, Enzo will introduce techniques in experiential anatomy, visualization, and release, along with exercises for joint mobility and weight transfer. These practices will help you progress from foundational exercises to more advanced movements.
What You Will Learn:
- Mobilizing the upper thoracic spine: Discover techniques to align your head, neck, and shoulders correctly.
- Using imagery and touch: Experience the power of visualization and guided movement to lengthen and balance the muscles of your shoulders, neck, and arms.
- Experiential anatomy of the shoulder girdle: Gain a deeper understanding of the function and interplay of joints, muscles, and ligaments in this area.
- Creative and detailed exercises: Learn to teach and practice fluid joint actions unique to Vayus Flow, such as the Spiral Telescope Arm, The Saber Cut, Child & Star, Side Plank Criss Cross, Rolling Snake, and more.
Tap into the upward energetic movement of Udana, allowing yourself to flow with ease and strength! This workshop combines the power of movement, anatomy, and mindfulness, offering you tools to build strength and enhance the alignment and function of your upper body.
